The HKSAR Government has recently published the Hong Kong Smart City Blueprint, what makes Hong Kong “smart”? Participants will learn how cities can be transformed using innovation and technology (I&T).
However, convenience often comes at a price and the potential issues of getting “smart”, such as ethical and security concerns, participants will be invited to share their ideas in the lecture for a better city tomorrow.

Dr Au Yeung’s background and interests lie within the area of health and medicine. After obtaining his PhD in medicine he stayed in UK and worked as an epidemiologist for disease surveillance until his return to Hong Kong in 2012. Before joining the College, Dr Au Yeung has taught courses in health science as well as general education at various local institutes, where he subsequently developed an interest in the latter. At HSMC he is responsible for teaching science modules in the general education curriculum.
